EXCI double feature: MVCICS and IBM CICS Configuration Manager

    Feli Brachthaeuser

      Hello guys,

MVCICS and IBM CICS Configuration Manager demand both a generic EXCI definition.

Here the link to the IBM documentation:

      https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SS2L7A_5.4.0/com.ibm.cics.cm.doc/ccv-install-dfhcsdup-overview.html

Here the link to the BMC doucmentation:

      https://docs.bmc.com/docs/mvcics68/step-3-create-exci-connection-and-session-definitions-724793152.html:

CICS allows only one generic EXCI definition.

Here the definitions from my customer:

      Mainview:

As the proposed definitions differ between BMC and IBM, I would like to know how this can be addressed without problems.

Do you have any suggestions or expierience regarding this coexistence?

      Thanks

      Feli
