Go to RF administration- application settings - global search settings - add source as user and add fields which you like.
Note values would be only shown if they are not blank meaning they have value for that user on user record.
Thank you Kedar. That is exactly what I was looking for.
I can't find the Manager field in the search settings. Are there any reasons for this? I can see the field in reports but not here.
You will have to do this
1. Go to setup > Build >Customize> User >fields > Add a new field called Manager full name of type formula return type text
2. Add this FirstName &" "& LastName
4. Follow the steps to add to client id
6. See shows manager
Thank you Kedar.
Using just formula FirstName &" "& LastName will return the User first name and Last name. I need to get the manager name. Is there somehow to get the manager name by using a lookup (in the User object I have the Manager ID) ?

You cannot add a new lookup to the user object.
Please use the suggestion that kedar zavar mentioned. The formula should be;
Manager.FirstName &" "& Manager.LastName
That is what Kedar was saying.
Hi Paul and Kedar. It works now. many Thanks for the help!
