    device add error - IP address clashes with existing device

      Hello Expert,

       

      could you tell me, I have some device added in entuity but showing blow mention error.

          When a device is taken under management in Entuity a check is performed to ensure that the device is not already under management. This check involves confirming that none of the IP addresses associated with the new device are already associated with a device that’s already under management. If one or more of the IP addresses conflicts with an address that’s already in the database the assumption is made that this device is already under management. There can, however, be situations where a duplicate IP address exists in device configurations and they are actually different devices. Under these circumstances, if you’re sure that the new device isn’t already under management by another name, simply check the option in the “Add Devices” dialog called “Allow Duplicate IP Addresses”.
