You are entitled to use BMC Remedy Smart Reporting with a valid BMC Remedy ITSM license. So, you will continue to use BMC Remedy Smart Reporting until the BMC Remedy ITSM license is valid. Also, BMC will provide new version of the license key for BMC Remedy Smart Reporting from time to time in future releases, which will extend the term of BMC Remedy Smart Reporting.
The license expiration date which is displayed Smart Reporting application belongs to Yellowfin. Nothing to worry about this expiration date.

You are not right, when expiry date is over you can not access the smart reporting. you need to download the new license key here https://bmcsites.force.com/casemgmt/sc_KnowledgeArticle?sfdcid=kA214000000gmiUCAQ&type=Solution
Agreed. Doing nothing will result in expiration and loss of access to Smart Reporting. We learned that lesson the hard way a couple of years ago. The linked knowledge article is the correct solution.
Hello Scott, Please what did you do when the license expired?
Need this info urgently as Its expired for a customer at the moment.
The link was no longer available via the Loadbalancer and so i thought we had lost access to it.
I was able to access the application via the direct application server url and then updated the license as on the article and restarted the service.
After this, the loadbalancer link became available again.
