# How to get Deviated percentage in columns that are already calculated columns I Have a requirement where I need to highlight if the Percentage of Emergency changes is not reduced from Quarter 1 to Quarter 2.

How can I get the deviation from a field that is already calculated, I am not able to apply the Advanced functions option on Division*100.

Hi Shaik,

As far as I understood the problem, you want to find out the delta of the column (Division*100) from previous quarter to the current quarter. If this is the case, you can use "Delta From Last" function in Analysis Category of Advanced function.

Thanks,

Nitin

Hi Nitin,

I cannot apply 'Delta from Last' function on Division*100 as there is already a function applied on that column.

Is there any way that we apply advance function on a column on which advance function(multiply) is already applied.

You can apply one advanced function at a time on a column. However in case you are only interested in Delta, you can directly add the "Delta From last" function to the division.

Yeah but the requirement is to show the deviation in percentage... I need to get the percentage first and then to apply deviation on it.

Hi Shak,

I found way to achieve this use case.

I have replicated somewhat similar example in my lab machine.

1. I have created two fields - Number of Tickets and Number of Critical Tickets and grouped them by quarter, 2. I have created a calculated field to calculate Percentage of Critical tickets,( You have created two different fields but you can achieve in single field itself)

The formula is - Critical Tickets / Total Tickets * 100 (Refer below screenshot)

PS - You need to multiply the value with 1.00 first to convert Int field into float else you will not get decimal places. Now pull this this field twice in a Report and from the second field drop-down access Advance Function option, Then search and select Deviation from Previous function. The output will look like below It will compare current row value with previous in terms of increment or decrements, Then you can apply Conditional format like

If greater than 0 then RED If Less Than 0 then Green

Further to make it more readable you can change Format of Deviation field to Percentage

(From Field Dropdown -- Select Format -- Edit -- From Format Dropdown select Percentage)

It will display deviation in percentage see actual percentage. Hope this helps to achieve what you wanted,

Thanks,

Abhijeet

Yeah this is correct, I was missing 1.00 in my calucualtion...

Thanks man!!!

Hi,

How can I compare the percentage of incidents in SLA against the Target(also a percentage)? I would like to see achieved SLA or breached SLA.

Thanks,

Raluca
