When you provide the Reporting DB details, it creates a schema for Smart Reporting. In most of the cases this schema is different from AR Schema, but it can coexist under AR schema as well.
Regarding your question about keeping the Smart Reporting schema on Remedy DB, as I said you can keep it. The issue I see is replicated DB being Read Only will not be able to work for Smart Reporting. While AR Server can work with a Read Only replicated DB, the same is not true for Smart Reporting. I would therefore advise you to keep Smart Reporting DB separate (in Red-Write Mode).
Last night i posted but due to late night wasn't sure to confirm and deleted the post.
You need to look for the smart report db connection information here in two locations.
<Smart Report Install folder>/appserver/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/web.xml
<Smart Report Install folder>/appserver/webapps/onboarding/WEB-INF/web.xml
you can search on the smart reporting db user name.
Rest as Nitin Chaturvedi explained, you need to keep that in mind.
Thanks for your input .I am aware of those points for 9.1.02 Versions.
Hi Mr. Rehman,
Its been long. :-)
Thanks for your Inputs and update. I will check the same.
Thanks Mr. Rehman For the reply.
I see the same in - /opt/bmc/ARSystem/SmartReporting/appserver/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF
Since On-boarding is not done at this moment- web.XML is almost empty .
