You can use the below query to get the details about the servers.
Same you can edit the query for the other asset to know which credentials are used for discovery
search Host show name, os, vendor, virtual, partition, #InferredElement:Inference:Associate:DiscoveryAccess.endpoint as 'Scanned via', #InferredElement:Inference:Primary:DeviceInfo.last_login_credential as 'Last Login Credential', #InferredElement:Inference:Primary:DeviceInfo.last_credential as 'Last Credential ID', #InferredElement:Inference:Primary:DeviceInfo.last_access_method as 'Last Access Method', #InferredElement:Inference:Primary:DeviceInfo.last_slave as 'Last Windows Proxy', #InferredElement:Inference:Primary:DeviceInfo.last_snmp_credential as 'Last Snmp Credential'
There is no mechanism for extracting credentials - tw_vault_control can show the credetials will not provide you the secure details, e.g. password.
The search service has no knowledge of credential details - hence with respect to searching the best you can do is list credential ids.
thanks AB and Water....
i was actually looking for the other way round of it. i was trying to query the credential ID\Credentials and that should show the CIs discovered to be exported with ease.
in your fashion, there are manual works to eport them all with host then network devices and other credential types, then do a merge for all of them and remove duplicates bla bla....
to avoid all these i wanted a simple query to give me credential with servers.
i was known about the vault query. that gives me all configured credentials but not the CIs got discovered by them and the feature was there in early version which used to provide ease of tracking things on the credentials. why those features have been rolled Off?
I never claimed tw_vault_control it would give you the inferred systems. I was just saying that it is the only thing where you can get details of credentials. You cannot do a search to get more information - you never have been able to do so.
The credential usage was removed from the page because it was extremely expensive and made the page very slow. Allowing multiple credential types under a single credential also makes reporting even more complicated.
AFAIK we cant query credentials directly to get the asset discovered by them.
If anything is there like this, would glad to know about the same.
