Check your entries in the /shared/config/config.jsp
Thanks for the Quick reply.
Sorry to say that, i dont find any settings in the config page related to this.
On config.jsp you need to login then in server setting you need to check if u added ip address or domain name ,if it is ip then u can change to domain name.
Please login in mid tier with credentials:
https://<mid-tier ip/domainname>:<port number>/arsys/shared/config/config.jsp. it will prompt you the mid-tier password. Enter the password and check the settings of AR Server in it.
In the config.jsp everything is fine. I have configured the doamin name of the AR Server installed m/c and I am getting it fine in the URL (as Domain Name itself).
Here I am having the problem with the <mid-tier IP> itself in the URL. I am not getting the domain name of the mid-tier installed m/c, instead I see only the <mid-tier IP>.
Can you please check in host file what entries are configured.
Is there any domain name define for Midtier Ip, If not then you can configure
192.168.1.1 abc # Your local machine name
We have already done the changes in the Host file w.r.t Mi-Tier IP Address Vs Host Name/Domain Name.
From which ever m/c we access the Remedy URL we need to do the Mi-Tier IP Address Vs Host Name/Domain Name mapping in its respective Host file, then it works fine.
It seems we need to ask the customer to add this mapping in their DNS Server and then without any modifications in the Host file, URL should work fine. I think this should resolve our issue.
Thanks for the reply.
