Can ctmpwd command lock out a Windows AD account?

Would executing the ctmpwd command with the wrong password cause an account to get locked in Active Directory?  I thought it only affected the Agent.

If you've configured any component of Control-M with an invalid password, and Control-M attempts to authenticate this user\password against AD, it will most likely result in an account lock. So it's probably not the ctmpwd utility itself causing the lock, it's the subsequent process of the agent authenticating against AD with that user. I think :-)
