    Error checking

    Daniel Bousquin

What are some of the best ways to error check return results form BLCLI commands?

I'm not a scripting expert but I'm trying to determine if a user exists in either Upper or Lower case so I can update

      the description property.

      blcli_execute RBACUser getFullyResolvedPropertyValue "${userupcase}" "DESCRIPTION" 1>file1.txt 2>file2.txt

      blcli_storeenv UserDesc

      blcli_execute RBACUser getFullyResolvedPropertyValue "${userlowcase}" "DESCRIPTION" 1>file1.txt 2>file2.txt

      blcli_storeenv lUserDesc

Can anyone provide a sample of how to error check the result of these commands above to determine if the user is Upper or Lower case,

      and/or recommend a reference  doc/page I can check out?

      Thanks

      -Dan
