bmc unload with direct yes on mainframe

I am using BMC Unload with DIRECT YES

      The following works

      UNLOAD

      SHRLEVEL(CHANGE)

      FIXEDVARCHAR
      NO

      ORDER
      NO

      SELECT
      COLA

      FROM
      OWNER.TABLE_NAME

      WHERE
      COLB > CURRENT TIMESTAMP - 6MONTHS

What I am unsure about is why the
syntax in RED (6MONTHS) works and produces valid data.

I would have expected to receive a
sql code -103 as this requires a space between the ‘6’ and ‘MONTHS’

Can you please check this for me?

      Does BMC software detect and
      insert the missing space?
