How to set permissions on a Smart*Template*Group

    James Donohue

      Hi,

I can't seem to figure on how to set permissions on a SmartTemplateGroup.. I took a guess and executed this:

      blcli_execute SmartTemplateGroup addPermission "/Applications/Windows/Work Initiatives/Infrastructure/MyTemplateSmartGoup" "SA_WIN_LL" "ComponentTemplateGroup.Read"

ErrorCommand execution failed. com.bladelogic.om.infra.cli.factory.CommandNotFoundException: Name space : SmartTemplateGroup has no commands by name : addPermission

I also tried it with just the 'TemplateGroup' namespace command but also fails.

I found the solution and was looking in the wrong Namespace. The Group namespace is what I should have been using. This works:

          blcli_execute Group addPermission "5016" /My/emplate/SmartGroup" "SA_WIN_LL" "ComponentTemplateGroup.Read"

The model type for Component Template SmartGroups is:5016 and other model type are listed in the blcli reference.

          All is good now!
