I have a batch job using the Execution Options below.
What the behavior appears to be is the first 10 targets launch the batch job, and the next 10 will not begin until all 10 targets complete all the child jobs in the batch job.
What I'm wondering is, if one of the first 10 targets fails one of the child jobs but the other 9 have completed all child jobs, will the "Execute by Server" option allow the next 10 to begin?
In the case of a target getting hung and not really "failing" is this where the "JOB_PART_TIMEOUT" & "JOB_TIMEOUT" property values come into play meaning the one "hung target" will have to time out until the next 10 will begin?
if the child jobs fail against one or more targets the batch execution should continue.
yes - job part timeout and job timeout are needed here on the member jobs.
