I'm not sure about the first one, but the second one is not something causing your server to be offline, but instead, a client reporting that your server was unavailable at that time.....
When you said 'a client reporting that the server was unavailable at that time', what do you mean by it? When it happened the AR Server service was still up and running, but the error was occurring every 2 minutes like it's trying to connect to an application or a server (not sure...). We are in a multi-server environment (load-balanced), not sure if this will help with this issue.
Thanks again LJ!
On the surface it appears that there is a process that one of your servers is responsible for isn't responding. Does your arerror.log on any of your other servers show the the same rpc timeout? Is 8026 a port you are using/assigned within ARSystem? Any configuration changes to ARS that coincide to this occurrence? Just a couple of thoughts.
I escalated this to BMC Support and they have provided a Hotfix for this one. That seems to have resolved this issue.
If anyone is interested let me know. I could probably post the details here.
Yes, Please provide more details. what was causing this issue and what is the bmc provided solution?
Can you plz share some details about the Hotfix/ issue resolution. I have the similar case where in customer is seeing below errors in neplugin server logs :
<PLUGINSVR> <TNAME: Failover monitor - MSUSELKG2319> <ERROR> <AbstractBackgroundClient$Worker > < AbstractBackgroundClient.java:158 > /* Sun Mar 05 2017 11:26:22.761 */ Error in polling loop
What was the issue and what was the fix provided by BMC.
Could you share the fix provided by BMC?
Any time you have a NullPointerException, it's a problem with the code....the fix was likely to apply a later version/patch/hotfix than was currently implemented.
