Iirc there is a defect in the 8.1 agent and handling some windows service names and states. Can you upgrade the rscd on the problem servers to 8.6 and see if the same issue persists ?
But other windows servers with the same 8.1 rscd agent are working fine. for other windows server I can see services listed under services server object.
Is this only option to resolve this issue ?
And the service list is exactly the same between the two systems ?
I’m just pointing out that there are known defects in handling some of the new service states added in 2008 and in handling some characters in the service names. 8.1 is no longer supported, so i’m suggesting trying a supported version – 8.6 – and see if you still have the issue.
Finally I found the root for that issue. Reason was the local user id on those servers (mapped bladelogic deployer user) was some how removed from the local administrators group on those servers.
Now we have added that user into administrators group. I can see all the services in the server object "services".
