Make sure startProgram.bat file and corresponding folder have appropriate permissions. [Read. Write and Execute].
You can try same command in set field action. [It will return some value: 0/1 (successful/unsuccessful)].
I added group 'everyone' to this file's permission tab and gave all permissions to it. But it didnt help.
With the filter, it returns unsuccessful.
Not sure where its going worng it still works from the command prompt.
Now i receive the following error message, did some trial and error--
Exit code: 1 Value:
C:\Program Files\BMC Software\ARSystem>7z a "C:\Folder\Files.7z" "C:\Folder\*" -pArgument
<FLTR> <TID: 0000002940> <RPC ID: 0000080538> <Queue: Fast > <Client-RPC: 390620 > <USER: ARSystem > <Overlay-Group: 1 > Filter/escalation 'set field' process returned an error.
The current transaction is rejected. No update to the database occurs.
My set field action is --> $PROCESS$ C:\readFile.bat
The bat file content is --> 7z a "C:\Folder\Files.7z" "C:\Folder\*" -pArgument
did you try keeping the batch file & the output file under BMC folder?

I got it working. Failures were due to not using the FULL paths to the executable. Even if its in the bat file, do mention the full paths.
