Is it part of the os customization ? can you do it as a post-install job ?
Thanks for your input.
We are deploying Redhat Linux OS.
Is there any script for Linux batch job ? Platform Manager will trigger the post provisioning job and will pass the datacenter location details. based on the data center location i have to set the timezone for Linux VM provisioning.
I don't have a script by hand.
But from my memories you would just need to run
So you have some choices:
- BLPackage with an external command
- NSH script with some nexec inside
Do you run the Post-provisioning job from an AO workflow that gets triggered by the Platform Manager ?
If so, you could handle that directly from AO and just run the timedatectl as an NSH/nexec commands on the target.
Timedatectl is part of systemd, so only for rhel7 ?
Normally i just symlink /etc/localtime to /usr/share/zoneinfo/whatever
Hi Steffen / Bill,
Thanks for your input. Yes, we have this issue is only for rhel.
