My customer is using BSA 8.6.1, on a Linux 64 bit platform and an Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 188.8.131.52.0 - 64bit.
In the app server log it appears randomly an Oracle error message: ORA-12592: TNS:bad packet. I attached the stack trace from app server log.
I read that this might be caused by a network and/or Oracle miss-configuration /problem.
What and how can I investigate (including customer technicians) in order to find solution for this problem?
It has been found that a Firewall configuration was responsible for this symptom.
They changed the configuration to allow tcp.flag urg transfer through firewalls - 2 of them.
In addition to that a configuration was done in sqlnet.ora file: SQLNET.EXPIRE_TIME = 1
