Can the proxy talk to the file server on 4750 ? otherwise you must configure nsh on the appservers to use a nsh proxy.
We have two application servers. One is type Config/NSH and the other is type JOB.
Type Job is also our file server. These application servers communicate with proxy at port 1080.
Proxy can't communicate with file server at port 4750.
Where should we configure the NSH proxy?
Well, ideally you would have a confignsh and jobnsh so the job would just point to itself for the proxy service and not take away from the user-facing proxy. you can point the job at the confignsh instance by setting the proxyserviceurl and adding ‘appserver_protocol=ssoproxy’ to the default line of the secure file on the job server. if you want users to be able to live browse the same EOs you need to do the same on the confignsh.
I have already configured these settings on the application server type JOB (PVWBAS02 is the application type JOB and file server)
The error which i receive is Error connecting to host: PVWBAS02 through proxy 198.19.40.60 port 1080
PVWBAS02 is the application type JOB and file server.
Have you restarted the appserver since you made those changes ?
Yes both application servers have been restarted. Should i also change secure file and proxyserviceurl on the other application server (PVWBAS01 type config/nsh)
does the rscd agent on pvwbas02/fileserver restrict access to what can connect to it (exports file) ?
This is the exports file from PVWBAS02
that's not very secure assuming there's not a 'nouser' entry in users..
so what's in the rscd log on the file server when you get the error in the job run log ??
