why do you need to uninstall old RCP, can you just upgrade the RCP to 8.7?
Why do you need to uninstall the rcp to upgrade? you will upgrade the appserver then upgrade the rcp.. however, it’s not recommended to run the rcp from the appserver in a production env.
Thanks bill for the reply..
Actually i had 8.6 setup in one server so i need to upgrade to 8.7 which i did on my test servers on it works fine without uninstalling the older one it upgrades with latest one.
i was trying to find out while upgrading the RCP client will it replace the existing NSH or not and answers is yes it will replace NSH data completely so to avoid this we should always make sure to uncheck the NSH option while upgrading the RCP client
