BMC has to bring a patch
The patch to get TM ART 4.2 to support IE11 for protocol level monitors is estimated to be released at the end of this month, February 2016. It does not include support for IE11 for browser-driven monitors.
QA reports a delay of a few days. So now the estimate is a few days into March 2016.
Thanks for this update but for us the patch dosent work.
IE11 ciphers are not supported >> WebPageUrl(HTTP: 1011 - unexpected connection close during read., SSLConnect first attempt)
IE10 ciphers are not supported >> WebPageUrl(HTTP: 1011 - unexpected connection close during read., SSLConnect first attempt)
Workbenchupgrade missed so no record replay on IE11 or IE10 based clients possible. (only replay files were changed)
Browser driven support for IE10 and 11 not included
have installed TM ART Workbench 4.2 SP5
It can capture Web sites with IE after changing the proxy
Hear the news that Microfocus will "takover" TM ART.
There is also an option for TM ART customers who don't want to migrate to BMC Truesight App Visibility Manager
Hi Hung Le
Wherer did you get this info ?
Regarding the SSL Issue on TM ART. BMC commites that the SNI (TLS-SNI) features are not working in TM ART 4.2.5 in general. A proxy recording will not help.
Regarding TrueSight, we evaluating this since the last 2 years without succes. (as well 10.5) So we wait for an official statement that the browser drivern record/replay for IE10 and above will not supported by TM ART anymore.
Got the info from my Microfocus Account Manager! You are right! So long BMC doesn't migrate the TM ART Workbench (Silkperformer 9.5 !!) to a new Silkperformer version ( 15.5 and about) the problem with the browser version still exists. When Microfocus "takes over" TM ART all browser and migration problems will be solvedRegardsHung
BMC has no intentions of selling TMART to Microfocus; I am uncertain as to where this information came from but it is inaccurate. The plan today is to migrate folks off of TMART on to TrueSight Synthetic. Please keep in mind that TrueSight Synthetic was never intended to be a carbon copy of TMART however we are aware that there may be some functionalities that are missing today - We are confident that our upcoming release will help ease the transition as we bring more of these features to the new TS Synthetic product.
