Could you open a support case and get a defect logged?
Will do later. Thanks !
I reproduced this at 8.5, 8.6, and 8.7
Case 00056418 has been opened.
right - it's basically iterating through all types - so what should it spit out - just 'no job of any type found' ?
you should be using like Job.jobExistsByTypeGroupAndName to see if the job exists.
Either that or the list of all the types it checked for IMO.
Command execution failed. com.bladelogic.om.infra.mfw.util.NotFoundException: No job found with name : JOB_NAME_HERE group : GROUP_ID_HERE and types : WINDOWS_PATCHING_JOB, REDHAT_PATCHING_JOB, AIX_PATCHING_JOB, RPM_PATCHING_JOB, UBUNTU_PATCHING_JOB, OTHER_LINUX_PATCHING_JOB
Would make for a longer error, but at least it would be clear.
Or more simply:
Command execution failed. com.bladelogic.om.infra.mfw.util.NotFoundException: No Patching job found with name : JOB_NAME_HERE group : GROUP_ID_HERE
