In CLM v4.5, integration with Corporate Remedy ITSM Suite is done by configuring remedy provider.
In case if you are doing something different, Nihal Naik might be able to help you on it.
Thanks for your response.
I am trying to configure already existing AR server, BBSA, BBNA products with CLM4.5. When I start CLM installation, gives me option to integrate existing products.
As part of it, trying for Remedy first.
As Nihal mentioned issue is due to missing entries in product registry of Remedy.
Entries look to be fine in ProductRegistry_Remedy.xml. Hope the file name on target is ProductRegistry.xml and not ProductRegistry_Remedy.xml.
each entry has productHome and installedConfigurationFileName attribute
Make sure file with name installedConfigurationFileName is present under productHome
If possible. please share installedConfigurationFile for each product
If true, then rename C:\windows\ProductRegistry.xml and Planner Install Directory on Planner machine
and try integrating again.
Let me know how it goes
Found the issue
The Remedy you are trying to integrate is at 9.0.01 level
CLM has been certified with Remedy 8.1.01. It should work with 9.0.01. But we are not claiming official support for it
Thus, Max version supported By Install Planner for integration s 8.1.01
Hence the Install Planner is failing to integrate it.
If you want to still integrate it, then change all instances in Productregistry and installedConfigurationFile as below
<version majorVersion="0" minorVersion="01" releaseVersion="9"/>
<version majorVersion="0" minorVersion="01" releaseVersion="8"/>
Just by changing the product version will it proceed futher?
Is there any impact with by changing the version details at remedy?
Backup the files and change the version only temporarily for integration to work.
Once you are done with the installs, restore the original files
You need to make changes in C:\Windows\ProductRegistry.xml and respective InstalledConfiguration xml files
the changes are not for Windows registry
From the error, it looks like you are trying to make some Windows registry modifications
You need to make changes to 2 files for each installed product on Remedy server
2)InstallConfiguration xml ( check installedConfigurationFileName for each product in ProductRegistry.xml).
It is located under installation directory of each product
Dont make any changes to WIndows Registry or any other file
Also no restart required after these changes
