Login Not allowed while enrolling server in BL

    Priyanka Sinha

We are getting "Login Not allowed" error while adding server in BL. We have restarted the RSCD agent , checked the user.local and exports file for correct mapping entry. Replaced the users file from a similar server that is responding where the Admin account is the same.

But the server is still not responding fine. Please suggest for other possible troubleshooting.

          C. The 'BladeLogicRSCD' user might be locked or not present in the local

          system:

C1. If the target server has Windows OS, delete the BladeLogicRSCD

user (if exists) and restart the RSCD Agent service. If the service is

started, the BladeLogicRSCD user will be created automatically.

C2. If the target server has non-windows OS, check the user if it

is locked/disabled.  (net user BladeLogicRSCD /delete)

net user BladeLogicRSCD | findstr "active"

          D. The local user to which the Agent is mapped may be locked or not

present (The username given in the Server Import form):

D1. Check if the user account exists

D2. Check if the user account is not locked / disabled

D3. Check if the user account is part of Administrator group /

          Super user group

D4. Check if you are able to login to this server with this user's

          credentials.

          for /f "tokens=2* delims==" %h in ('findstr "BLAdmins:"

          c:\windows\rsc\users.local') do  @echo Admin User Account: %h & @net

          user %h | findstr "active" & net user %h | findstr "Group"

          E. The ACLs/Permission Issue:

E1. Copy the exports, secure, users, and users.local file

          (Windows-C:\windows\rsc; Unix/Linux- /usr/lib/rsc) from a working

server, and replace them on the problematic server.

          type c:\windows\rsc\secure & type c:\windows\rsc\exports & type

          c:\windows\users.local

          F. Network Issue:

F1. Check if the DNS server has a proper entry for this server

pointing to the correct IP. nslookup from the DNS server against the

          target to confirm.

          for /f "usebackq" %i in (`hostname`) do @nslookup %i

          G. The port 4750 (default port used by BLAgent) may be blocked:

G1. Check if port 4750 is allowed in the system's firewall setting.

(Could be Windows Firewall / IP Tables / any other)

G2. Use netstat command and confirm if 4750 is in the listening state.

G3. From a server belonging to a different subnet, telnet to this

server on port 4750. (Ex: telnet problematicserver 4750)

          netstat -an | findstr 4750

Please check the admin account user which is set on target server under "local users" and update the same under users.local file.

Could you please share rscd.log from target server and exports, secure, users and users.local files. I am sure we will find reasons there.

                Thanks all for the reply!!

Since the local admin account was missing from the server so the error was reflecting. It been added and issue is now resolved:-)
