    Patching jobs and JOB_PART_TIMEOUT

    Yanick Girouard

      I noticed that some recent Windows patching deploy jobs that had a JOB_PART_TIMEOUT set to 120 minutes, were timing out as expected after that much time, but this part scared me a little:

      "Cancellation by user seen. Deploy job will stop processing

      (Time in agent's deploy log:: 11/19/2015 02:35:37)"

      deploy cancelled - killing child process - pid: 4724 (Time in agent's deploy log:: 11/19/2015 02:35:37)

      What is it killing exactly and would it be killing a patch in the process of being applied ?

      In other words, what is the impact when the job times out like this and has no auto-rollback options enabled ?

      NOTE: This is in BSA 8.5 SP1
