Can you attach bldelpoy and bltargetjobmanager logs ?

These logs confirm that it is killing the command process that will be executing the patch install. I'm not 100% sure if the patch installer will terminate immediately, or roll back its activity, but I suspect the latter, else we would have heard about it .

Do you have JOB_TIMEOUT configured ?
What is set in Deploy Job => Job Options => Flow Control ?
JOB_TIMEOUT was set to 180 minutes, and JOB_PART_TIMEOUT to 120. Flow control was set to By Server.
Would it help to have the WindowsUpdate.log file too ?
Interesting - my understanding was that it was JOB_TIMEOUT that controlled patch deploy timeouts, and that Flow Control - By Server was necessary to ensure that other targets ran to completion
As for the logs - not sure
<windir>\windowsupdate.log or maybe <windir>\logs\CBS.log
Ohh - and the Event Logs should be checked too
I confirm that it's the JOB_PART_TIMEOUT that was triggered, because it was the only setting set to 2 hours in my original issue, and the timeout occurred precisely after that much time. I'll see about getting the logs. Working to get direct access to the server...
In blasadmin is asyncexecution enabled ?
Was job_timeout set ?
EnableAsyncExecution is not set (so whatever the default value is), and the JOB_TIMEOUT property was set at the remediation job level (in the remediation deploy job options), to 180 minutes, not 120. JOB_PART_TIMEOUT was set to 120.
EDIT: According to the doc, the default value is True (https://docs.bmc.com/docs/display/public/bsa85/Enabling+asynchronous+execution)
