Out of the box the CHG_ChangeInterface_Create_WS webservice does not include the attachment field so you would need to overlay the webservice object and add it yourself. In past implementations to include this field I have found that you need to add a total of three elements to accommodate one attachment:
- a string element to hold the attachment name
- an int element to hold the attachment size
- a base64 element to hold the attachment data
For reference the attachment field on the CHG:ChangeInterface_Create form is z2AF_Attachment1. Also note that the attachment will be shown as a work info entry on the Change request ticket.
Thanks a lot for your response Greyson.
I would like to know is there any specific reason they didnt include attachments for change and not for incident.
Thanks once again and sorry for the late response
Could you please help me to know that how we can pass the attachment by using CID in WS ? i am using incident create WS, i am testing this WS by SOAP UI and adding an attachment from its console as per the below screen shot.
it is creating an incident but i am unable to see this attachment inside the worklogs of this incident.
