Can BSA 8.6 perform compliance against an object on another server?

    Chad Johnson

I though I had seen reference to this ability in BSA 8.6 pre-release publication; however I can't find documentation so I may be mistaken.

What we need, is the ability to perform something similar to the following in a compliance rule:

      "File:/etc/hosts".Checksum = "File://someServer/standardFiles/etc/hosts"

We maintain a directory of 'standard files' on a central repository server.  Some files may have many standards based upon items such as location, department, etc.  So we can't use snapshots or audits.

Is such a comparison, to a file on another server, possible in 8.6?
