    NETWORK_ADDRESS Server Property not updating

    richard mcleod

      I have a server which has been migrated to a new IP, in BSA the server's IP_ADDRESS property has been updated to the new IP address however the NETWORK_ADDRESS remained as the old IP.
      I'm like 99.99999% sure we've turned off the networkaddress cache option.

      app01 /opt/bmc/bladelogic/NSH/br #  cat /opt/bmc/bladelogic/NSH/br/java/lib/security/java.security|grep networkaddress

      networkaddress.cache.ttl=0

      networkaddress.cache.negative.ttl=10

      I've run update server properties against the host, the value persists.

      Is there anyway to force this to update?

      If this is being cached, is there anyway to determine which appserver is caching it or should I just check each config?

      --edit: checked each java.security on our appservers and config servers, all are identical to above values.

      ---edit2: The confusion on this was caused by a subnet 10.22.142.0/23 which ends up spanning 10.22.142.1-10.22.143.255 (the IP in our case was on 10.22.143.*)  Oy vey. So the network address property was showing 10.22.142.0. Good thing its friday. Appreciate the help
