The db connection string is in the pxe section.
yes BILL, the db connection is in the pxe section configured.
blasadmin now running against deployment: _pxe
bladmin:_pxe>show pxe all
Is there any thing extra to do for PXE after upgrading?
can you attach the full pxe log from the failed startup ?
Also – this is pxe that’s part of the appserver install ? what os is this ?
Caused by: java.io.IOException: Cannot bind to URL [rmi://10.88.68.18:9907/jmxrmi]
that ip is the pxe server? w/ the pxe server stopped, is anything bound to 9907 ?
yeah the pxe Server IP. I will check the port 9907
when I try to start the pxe server, it tries to connect via 9907 with an other application but there is nothing listning on that port. must I start something else on the pxe Server? to listen on that port?
Check with below command whether any service is running on port.
netstat -tlnp | grep 9907
that was the first thing I did. nothing is running on that port.
the output is:
[root@PXE&FileServer ~]# netstat -tlnp | grep 9907
on another Environment (8.3 Version) I found a Java Process listning on that port.
[root@PXE&FileServerPRDEnvironment ~]# netstat -tlnp | grep 9907
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:9907 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 31171/java
How kan I start that Program on the 8.6 Version to listen on that port.
Can you further check /etc/services file which port 9907 is showing? And if it is really showing java on problem server that should be listening by other service automatically. Is your server configured as both app and pxe server? If yes, try to start app services again and see the status.
in /etc/services file we couldn't found the 9907.
under ./br/ directory
yes I found an other Application Server on the File&Pxe Server. it was not our intention to do that but it doesn't matter it's OK. I can't start the AppServer services there with the error:
2015-09-29 14:10:28,836 INFO [main] (BlLogger.java:91) - Shutdown processes complete
com.bladelogic.om.infra.app.service.bootstrap.DeploymentException: com.bladelogic.om.infra.mfw.util.BlException: Deployment default is missing its version file. Typically this means that it failed to upgrade correctly.
i thought the error mean that java wasn't able to bind to 9907 because something else was already bound to it. i don't think that's the case based on the netstat output. can you run blasadmin -s _pxe show all > pxe.out and attach that ?
