    AppServerLauncher questions

    richard mcleod

Does anyone know if the following command stages the appServer instances for restart?

      blcli_execute AppServerLauncher stopAppServer $launcherHost$ $appserverName$ $maxWaitTime$ $waitForStop$

Question 1) Does the waitForStop boolean option mean to wait until jobs are finished processing on that host?

      blcli_execute AppServerLauncher updateProfile $launcherHost$ $profile$ $flagRestart$ $removedAttrs$

Question 2) Does the flagRestart option mean the appserver will restart after jobs are finished processing on that host?

      blcli_execute AppServerLauncher restartAppServer $launcherHost$ $appServerName$ $maxWaitTime$

Question 3) Will restartAppServer wait until jobs are finished processing before restarting?

If you haven't already guessed I am trying to work out a way to restart app server instances while not affecting jobs. I am hoping to couple this with job execution rule management through blcli to avoid killing running jobs (similar to the option in infrastructure management where you can choose to restart an appserver instance once jobs are finished processing)
