we use Offline Patch-Catalogs for the Patching of our Windows estate.
My question is regarding "Payload Source" and "Repository" Location.
Up until today, these are two seperate directories on the same server.
( So the server that actually downloads to payload, also stores the Catalogs)
This basically causes that the Patchpayload (~ 200 GB) exists more or less twice.
I was wondering if anybody uses the same diroctory, so that the payload isn't mirrored ?
Yes - that should be fine.
The only time you shouldn’t do that is if you are trying to combine a catalog w/ multiple filters for Linux patching.
