The current integration of Chef with Bladelogic does support Chef Solo. In fact, it's the only version we currently support. When you set up your BLPackage to deploy the Chef Solo agents, you can include any needed packages. There should be a decent walk through in the documentation. What errors are you getting? I can run this by a dev to get some suggestions.
The blchef.rb errors ive figured out -- needed some missing gems
However to my point about the chef solo package, am I required to package the ruby interpreter as laid out or is a chef solo client from chef.io on a target enough to execute the blpackage (is this step required for this method: Setting up Chef-solo bundles - BMC Server Automation 8.5 - BMC Documentation)
Also it looks like blchef.rb requires a cookbook to be hosted at some url? what if i want to do this locally?
