is the bmi for windows and solaris in the datastore in the correct place ?
yes its in correct place.
on the target in c:\blprov there should be a couple log files, can you attach those ?
1 of 1 people found this helpfulCan't speak for Solaris, but for Windoss its as following. In step 14/16 the Appserver waits for the bmi callback to happen. This callback is triggered by the runonce.bat script, which also generates a runonce.log. This can be found in C:\blprov on the target.Where on the PXEstore is the bmi binary located, as with 8.5 the location changed. It now resides in a folder called bmi along with two DLL.
the AppServer waits for this line to happen:
C:\Windows\system32>S:\bmi\bmiwin.exe 10.41.4.61 9131 00-0C-29-50-C6-B7 1>C:\BLProv\bmiwin.log
Is bmiwin.exe located in a folder "bmi" on your pxestore Share ? (8.5 Upgrade - Changes to provisioning files for BMI)
Is there any hint in bmiwin.log ?
Hi Steffen Kreis,
bmiwin.exe is located in root of pxestore. I am unaware of these changes in BSA 8.5. I assume this is cause of job being hung in 14/16 stage.
Thanks a lot for your valuable inputs. Now I have done the necessary changes and re-executed the provisioning job. Will update the results soon.

Many Thanks Steffen. Provisioning job completed. Finally all the stages completed . Gr8 info by Akbar Aziz
Another thing I have observed in the system package(post-install configuration tab), option for RSCD install is disabled. How to enable this. Tried creating system package for windows 2008 and its working fine. But for windows 2012 it is disabled.
Edited: added below lines in post-install script section and it did the trick for me.
echo * rw,user=Administrator > C:\Windows\rsc\exports
net start MSiSCSI
