Could you please double check pxestore directory. Usually with this error the problem would be there.
i.e. pxestore root dir is:
and the OS installer files should be in a directory within this path, you should double check permissions issues.
I completely agree with youDavorin Stevanovic . Its quite strange to get such error. I have verified once again and found that we have both read/write permission to pxestore and all the sub-directories of it.
When are you getting this error - from device after the WinPE boot or before
If it is after the WinPE boot, check you can map a drive to the PXEstore with the credentials and server name that are configured on this datastore.- this ensure the device can DNS resolve the datastore and map the drive for installation
Looking at the log snippet it is a bit hard to tell exactly what happened and why:
X:\Windows\System32>cd /d k: K:\>cd WIN2008\sources WIN2008\sources>setup /noreboot /unattend:C:\BLProv\Unattend.xml K: was deleted successfully. Nitin Error 5/19/2015 10:23 OS installer setup failed. The system cannot find the path specified. Unattended installation failed.
Looks like the datastore if mapped and accessed successfully, but then after the setup executed the mapped drive is disconnected.
If you watch the process from the console of the target maybe you'll see something which is not captured in the log?
Can you check all the paths to the WIMs in your unattend file, and make sure you can access them from the the k: drive when it is mapped
Just out of curiosity what is the supported version of WAIK and winpe for windows 2012 provisioning? I wonder if this is something causing issue here.
Unattended.xml is accessible from k drive.
But are there any paths in the XML that are not accessible E.g. the OSImage path ?
created new winpe image using WAIK3.0 but still no luck. refereed below Re: Win64-bit provisioning using BSA 8.2 . Not sure what waik is supported for windows 2012 image creation.
The subsystem needed to support the image type is not present.
OS installer setup failed.
The system cannot find the path specified.
Unattended installation failed.
I believe this is just the same issue mentioned here How Do I Create A New Windows Provisioning System Package
Just follow the steps mentioned Workaround for provisioning the Windows 2012 R2 - BMC Server Automation 8.5 - BMC Documentation
