I can't speak to the tool's capability for Escalation logs...but, I have a 'competing' tool...competing in the space of free tools to help you out...I can't guarantee the success with 7.1 log...but can work with you to get it working if you would like/need (Escalation Runtime | A Programming Legacy)
If not, I'm sure that he'll be happy to help you fix the problem in his tool
Thank you for your answer
I've tried your tool but I got java exceptions. It works fine with a smaller file but my log is a 340 Mb file.
here is the output:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -1
at java.lang.String.substring(Unknown Source)
Concerning pyARLogAnalyzer, I put here under the text output file of pyARLogAnalyzer :
1 file analyzed
File analyzed: C:\TEST\ARSLogs\55\esc.log
Elapsed time in log file 0 hour 0 minute 0.0 second
First call time:
Last call time:
0 transaction analyzed
0 API call
0 SQL statement
0 Escalation executed
File generated by pyARLogAnalyzer 5.4.2 by Vincent RIEDWEG (Etat de Genève)
Does anyone have an idea?
Sorry for the delay, I was on holidays...
For the error you have analyzing the 340MB log file. I never seen that, could you send me your logs? I'll have a look.
For the escalation logs, I don't remember in which version of AR System the escalation log format has changed (7.5 or 7.6.03 or 7.6.04) and this tool can only analyze escalation logs from version higher than this one. That's why you can't find the pattern in the code.
Sorry for the mistake... The error with the 340MB log was with LJ's tool...
Thank you for the answer and the tools.
They are really useful, even on 7.1.
Well, the change in the pattern my tool wasn't recognizing was related to a change in 7.6.04, but the latest version of my tool works with his french 7.1 log....:)
I have seen it... You did it during my holidays...
So at least one tool can analyze 7.1 escalation logs... So I think I don't need to integrate it in my tool... That's fine as I haven't free time at the moment...
If a lot of users want it in my tool, I need at least an escalation log example... Then I can't promise to integrate it as faster you was... I need time for that...
I have never really considered our tool in competition with each other....if either of us was looking for financial compensation, that would be a different situation altogether...but both of us are providing tools for the betterment of the community as a whole...:D
