Go to data source open the ISM Write connection and change the user to hm_admin default pwd is hm_admin or hmadmin.. then try accesing the dashboard
Tried that but of no use. Same error again.
Just to clarify the DB used is INVDB.
Ok paste a snippet from the ISM logs.. When you get the error in the GUI
As per logs,
#Caused by: No database configured - com.marimba.webapps.ism.exceptions.ISMException: No database configured
With the help of schema Manager Reinstall ISM schema and in system setting Reconfigure ISM write-database connection.
Stop & Start ISM from Application Manager once above configuration is set.
I have did this already but of no luck.
However I did that again and same error.
Here, the DB we are using is same for Inventory collection and ISM.
Could that be the issue?
That should not be an issue. usually the ISM and inventory DB's are the same. Are you able to see the hm_views & tables created in the DB? If they are there check the permission on it hmadmin and hmuser should have permissions.
There are Tables and Views created in the DB and hmadmin has the permissions to create, update, select and delete.
What about hmuser? does it have read permission on views?
ps: silly question but have you create a ISM read connection?
Should I create read connection?
yes please do that and then restart the ISM channel, and also validate that the hmuser has read access to the views in the DB
My bad. I just thought the write permission will have both read-write access to DB.
Any how created the read DB and now it is Working.
yes although the write permission will by default be able to read the views, but the code doesn't use it as it could cause locking on the DB (I presume). So yes we need the read connections for both ISM and RC.
We have a repeater configured and it was reporting to ISM.
When we reinstalled the repeater, the older one is still seems to be available in ISM which means there are two repeaters available in Dashboard where in actually there is only one.
