Patching for Windows Server 2003 after EOL in mid July

    Steffen Kreis

Windows Server 2003 will be completely EOL in middle of July.

From then on Microsoft will not release any Security Updates in a public manner.

We still run quite a number of Windows Server 2003 Targets and our company has also an agreement with Microsoft for Extended-Support of 2003, which means Patches will be made available to us.

We are now looking for a way on how to deploy these patches efficiently in our environment, ideally with Scanning and Analysis mechanisms.

After we now migrated all Windows Patching from WSUS to BSA it would be a shame, if we would have to go back again.

I was wondering if we are the only customer with this requirement and what doe others plan on how to get around that ?
