Get an email notification set that lists the failed servers
Send a snmp trap if the job fails
Write a nsh script that dumps the log out w/ blcli and greps
Same but w/ webservices
Do what you are doing in the gui
thanks! Let me say that solution 1, 4 and 5 are not useful in this environment.
I don't know what does solution 2 means, by the way I was wondering something about solution 3.
Do you have any clue on how to implement such a job that would collect the status of each executed job?
2 - on the notification tab of the job you should see the option to send a snmp trap to another system (eg, a monitoring system) when the job fails.
3 - look in the Utility namespace for the 'export<jobtype>Run' type of commands.Utility - BMC Server Automation Command Line Interface 8.5 - BMC Documentation and you can use those to export the job run log and the scrape it w/ tools like grep and sed. or you can use the JobRun - getServersStatusByJobRun - BMC Server Automation Command Line Interface 8.5 - BMC Documentation command to dump a 'map' of the per-target status.
are you looking for the overall job result or the result of the job for the specified server?
