Most likely, your Search Indexes need to be rebuilt. This is fairly common. This postdiscusses how to force a rebuild of them:
Search in Track-It! is slow or returns inconsistent results
Because of how common this is, you may want to set up a scheduled task to handle this on a recurring basis. I've discussed a couple of options here:
