File System Information Extended Object Broken

    Patrick O'Callaghan

We are using bladelogic on Windows 2008R2.  When attempting to do a compliance to check for free disk space using the OOTB File System Information extended object that calls the ntfs_filesystem.nsh script we receive this error.

      Warning    Jan 7, 2015 2:02:24 PM    com.bladelogic.om.infra.mfw.util.BlException: cygwin warning:

        MS-DOS style path detected: /cygdrive/C\Windows/rsc/HOME

        Preferred POSIX equivalent is: /cygdrive/C/Windows/rsc/HOME

CYGWIN environment variable option "nodosfilewarning" turns off this warning.

Consult the user's guide for more details about POSIX paths:

If we run the compliance twice against the same set of servers the error may not appear on the same server it happened on before and will instead appear on a different set of servers.  The error is only appearing as a warning during the compliance check and is passing with a green check however it is coming back as incorrectly non-compliant.  The only way to know that it is non-compliant because of this warning is to go into the 'show logs' and individually check each server.

Also when running the console on certain servers, when trying to live browse and view the extended object the same error appears and the extended object can not be accessed or viewed.

The extended object and nsh script the extended object is using is out of the box functionality from blcontent.

We checked the nsh script and extended object script and confirmed that there have been no changes to the contents.

      Any help would be appreciated.
