    Catalog update - Shavlik not pingable

      I am receiving this error on both my production and dev BSA systems when attempting to update a Windows patch catalog.  Application server versions are 8.3 sp1.


      Error Dec 29, 2014 9:38:17 AM  Precheck Failed : url [http://xml.shavlik.com/data/oem/BMC-Bladelogic/data/8.0/hf7b.xml] not pingable, Please check url and proxy details


      I get a response if i telnet to xml.shavlik.com at port 80 from any of the application servers so it does not appear to be a firewall or name resolution issue.  We do not use a proxy and I was able to update the catalog on our prod systems on 09 December.  I do not know of anything that has changed on our side - has Shavlik changed something again ?
