You can check the rscd logs for same to begin with. There could be some group policy affecting this or some other application.
You can also try to un-install, delete all the installation paths and logs, and then install again.
Well, i would start w/ what does 'not working' mean ? how were the checks performed? was the service running? was it down? were there any error messages in the rscd logs ? before you start nuking everything i'd start looking through logs around the time of the issue.
