If I understand what you are doing, you need to set up multiple pxe servers
- one in each location. Then you can sync up the pxe stores so nothing is
getting transferred when the servers need to get built.
Can you have more than one pxe Server?
yes and yes.
for multiple pxe/tftp servers you need to use the pxe.conf file on each one and configure the appropriate settings in there and set the 'use_config_file = true'. i believe this can be during during install and the pxeconf wizard.
to have multiple datastores, you would need to setup the share/http at each location (typically customers put these on the pxe/tftp servers) and then you configure additional property instances in the datastore class for each one.
Is this just as Simple as ticking the use pxe.conf file in the pxe/tftp config wizard for both PXE Server instances? Do i need to change anything in the Provisioning Manager Config? Where do i set 'use_config_file = true'. ?
Yes – if you check that option in the pxeconf that sets the ‘use_config_file = true’ in the pxe.conf
you also need to setup the PSIs for the multiple datastores.
