    Issue with Console Smart it: Unavailable?

      Hi All,

       

      First question for me

      I have installed the full ITSM suite + Smart IT.

       

      All works fine except... the administration console to which I can't connect.

       

      Each time I trigger the adress : http://localhost:8080/ux/console

       

      Adress is translated to: http://localhost:8080/ux/myitapp/?1413790149730#/

       

      And When I connect to this adress (with a MyIT Administrator and even MyIT Super Admin of course), I access to the "end user" console.

       

      Have you any idea that can help me to find the cause of this feature?

      Edit: when connected, if i relaunch http://localhost:8080/ux/myitapp/?1413790149730#/ the adress is translated to http://localhost:8080/console/home.jsf  but with a white page

          Hi Allan,

           

          let us know if you can access the admin console on the default http://localhost:9090/console

            Check the port tag in <Smart_IT_MyIT Installation folder>\Smart_IT_MyIT\virgo-web-server-2.1.1.RELEASE\config\tomcat-server.xml. This is the port where the Admin console is running. If this happens to be the port which is already used by some other process, Change the port, restart the virgo service and try to access the admin console on that port

                change the port to some port which is available

                  Ok, I have tried but nothing occurs.

                      Do you see http 400 bad request?

                      I had an issue open with BMC for a similar/same symptom.

                      Try following:

                      -Stop virgo

                      -Delete all files under <VIRGO_HOME>/work. In case if the osgi folder fails to get deleted, rename osgi folder to o and then delete it. (Note: I had to move osgi folder some levels down the tree before i could delete it).

                      -Start virgo

                      After virgo is started only! access http://localhost:8080/ux/console and log in (it redirects to http://localhost:8080/ux/myitapp but after login you should see the admin console). You can switch to uc but you cannot switch back from uc to admin console.

                       

                      KA418549 unfortunatly is not available yet. :-(

                        Hi,

                         

                        I am also having the same Issue. I installed SmartIT with no errors but not able to login to either consoles. Fir samrt IT console I get the login page, but when I provide my credentials it says  "An error has occured please contcat administrator". For admin console it dosent even go to the login page. When I enter admin console url, the page tries to load, in fraction of seconds I see the error and MyIT logo and again error..MyIT..error..MyIT...error..MyIT on browser Tab. Nothing happens. I tried restarting all the services, changed the port number , deleted the folder content of MyIT installation\Work folder, restarted virgo service. Nothing work. Please any ideas...help.

                          For my part, as soon as I made this operation, I still can't acess the admin console... Seems to have an error...

                          As it was in a VM that has everything (ITSM + MyIT), perhaps it was the issue.

                          I will try to use to separate VM

                                Maybe the logs in

                                \BMC Software\Smart_IT_MyIT\Smart_IT_MyIT\virgo-web-server-2.1.1.RELEASE\serviceability\logs\access

                                or

                                \Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat7.0\logs

                                can give more details on the problem? Otherwise its probably the best to open a case with BMC support.
