So there should be a trace.txt generated from the analysis run on the system – what does that show ? are there errors in the job run log for this server or just no results ?
In BSA 8.2.04 to get the trace.txt, set the Job Property DEBUG_MODE_ENABLED=True and run the Patch Analysis Job.
The location of the debug files will be written into into the Job Run Log. The trace.txt file will be one of them but we really should get a look at all of them as well as the Job Run Log itself
I dont see any errors in the Job Run log, it's just that there are no results from PA for this server.
I have attached the trace.txt and Job debug log for your review.
UPDATE: Based on File attachment policies, a file was removed, see FAQ for more
All patches are being tested, so it looks like this server is up to date.
Is there an XML file created?
Called something like shavlik_results.xml
If so, please share that
Thanks for the response Jim. I have asked the user to run BLPatchCheck2.exe on the problematic target to produce the results.xml file. I will share as soon as i get it.
Make sure your patch repository is upto date.
Seems like scantype (-st) is used 2 which is specific to Product list only and doesn't perform patch scan.
Can you Capture the rscd.log when you run the Patching Job (i.e. Patch Analysis Job) ? Also I have seen 127.x IP address for target server PMNAMS1244. Have you masked IP address of this machine or you are trying to patch app server ?

What do you mean by scantype (-st) is used which is specific to Product list only and doesn't perform patch scan, and how to correct this.
I have my patch catalog updated to include Microsoft Windows 2008 Server product filter already, and I don't use any catalog smart group to limit the patch scan only to specific product.
Yes, I have masked my IP address of the server.
ok. Do you specify any filters Like security path in Patching job ?
Also Can you list rscd.log while running Patching job on the server ?
