You will need to install the RSCD Agent and VM Tools onto the source VM Template, the VGJ cannotn do this directly.
From BSA you could you an Agent install Job and Deploy job to install this components, but this still require you first convert the Template back to a VM or do this on the VM prior to converting to a Template.
If you are using VM template for provisioning then try to build a server with some standard or whatever you are looking to be available in the new machine after provisioning. You need to install all the necessary stuff in the base/master server. then create a VM template and go and provision as many as server you wish to.
VMware tools is a requirement from VMware for the guest customization process to work. this has nothing to do w/ bsa since bsa is just driving the customization process.
the rscd being installed is a requirement for bsa...
If you are creating a Windows Template or Clone, the process for the RSCD Agent is to stop the service and delete the local BladeLogicRSCD user. Power down the VM. Create your clone or template. When the RSCD service starts, and detects the local user is not there, it will create a new one. This is not required for any other OS but Windows.
