    Query on Bladelogic CA Certificate

    Moses Arockiadass

We are upgrading our development bladelogic application server (windows) from 8.3 to (SP2). We have applied CA issued certificates on Bladelogic Application Servers for external applications to be able to communicate with BBSA .

      Query 1:

      The upgrade:

      1. Take a Backup existing bladelogic.keystore file (from the existing <bsa install dir>/br/deployments/_template.
      2. Perform the Application Server Upgrade from 8.3 to 8.5.
      3. Restore bladelogic.keystore to each of the directories inside the /br/deployments on each AppServer host.
      4. I could find the bladelogic.keystore (native cert) is located at D:\Program Files\BMC Software\BladeLogic\NSH\br\deployments.
      5. Replace the native with CA in D:\Program Files\BMC Software\BladeLogic\NSH\br\deployments.
      6. Restart the Application Servers.

Will this suffice? Is this fine ?

      Query 2:

      1. Do we need the bladelogic.keystore file in each folder like default, _template, _util, _spawner or enough to have only in D:\Program Files\BMC Software\BladeLogic\NSH\br\deployments?
