New Application Servers Kill Job Queue

    Jared Murrell

I have 4 application servers right now and I'm trying to scale out adding 4 more servers. The problem I'm having is that when I turn on the new application servers, no new jobs get queued. Any scheduled jobs show up in the queue, but they stay in a "waiting to run..." status and don't execute. I've run the Application Server Diagnostics against the new servers and old ones and they all pass every time. I checked app-server-to-app-server communication and it looks fine too, but the database shows all connections from all application servers as "sleeping". Once I stop the new application servers then I have to restart the services on the existing servers and everything processes as normal. What would cause that?
