    Special Characters in Password

    Iain Taylor

      Hi I have a senario where we are generating a script that leverages an encrypted password where the complexity and length will be different and will contain special characters. Is there any way that we can pass the password through to the command line without BSA interepreting the special characters?

      we can not hard code the password as mentioned it will change so therefore we are unable to "escape" out the special characters for example PASSWORD='p\@ssw\%rd'

      If we test and hardcode the password and add the password as a property BSA is still translating the special characters so for instance

      var1='p@ssw%rd'

      password=$var1

      echo $password

      or something like that would

      BSA is interpreting the special characters and passing something diffrent.

      Many thanks

      Iain
