    Create Outlook Calendar Appointment for Change Control Request

      Hello,

       

      When a Change Control Request is submitted for approval, the owner receives an email notification. Can the owner be sent a calendar appointment instead, for the date and time of the change and containing the change description?

       

      We are running BMC SDE 9.20

          I don't know if this is possible in 9.2 but on latest version check if bellow things is possible

           

          When a change request is created, the Business Rules server sends a meeting request to the assigned staff. If a change request is modified, then the Business Rule sends an updated meeting request to the assigned staff.

          If the change request is reassigned, the Business Rule sends a cancellation meeting request to the previously assigned staff and a new meeting request to the newly assigned staff.

          If the Business Rule finds an updated change request without an associated meeting request, then it sends a new meeting request to the assigned staff.

          Information

          Enter the name of the business rule and a brief description of the rule. You can use the history log to record any modifications that you make to this business rule after you create it.

           


           

          You must enable the business rule for it to take effect.

              We're on 10.2 and from reading up a little bit more trying to set this up it may not be compatible with Exchange 2010 or higher. Unfortunately the level of rights you have to grant it in Exchange are also prohibitive in allowing time to test...we're a large organisation and our Exchange Admin was not happy about the level of access being granted.


              Anyway I never did get it to work
